3 tips on how to achieve the perfect city outfit

 Get the look!

This is for the off season traveler, heading off for a city escape somewhere. It's casual, feminine and classy! Effortlessly chic and you can totally wear this in a city setting. I came up with 3 tips on how to achieve the perfect outfit for your city escape.

Tip 1: Keep it Simple.

To achieve any look, sometimes it's better off keeping things simple. Minimal is definitely the way to go for a city look. Walking along busy streets and commuting to and from places can get stuffy if your wearing the wrong outfit and sometimes the best thing to do is to wear something you feel comfortable in.  So for me, something I would find comfortable is a pair of jeans and some trainers. I tend to keep away from wearing my more fancy items and save them for a better occasion. Simple is key! However, you don't need to restrict yourself when it comes to keeping things simple, there are many ways to bring an outfit together. From jeans to leggings; patterns to minimal prints; to accessories like hats, bags and jewelry. The possibilities are endless!

Tip 2: Sunglasses.

Nothing can complete a look better, than a pair of Sunglasses. Not only do they protect you from the Sun, they give you that classy, sophisticated and somewhat cool look to your outfit. What more can I say? It speaks for itself.

Tip 3: Confidence.

Last but not least, the best way to get the perfect outfit is to wear that outfit with complete and utter confidence! So wear what you love and wear it with pride because it's the real you! Take your outfit to the city in style, and enjoy your day! Maybe take a selfie or too.

What I am wearing:

  • Top - Pull & Bear
  • Trousers - Primark
  • Trainers - Stan smith originals
  • Bag - Primark
  • Sunglasses - Matalan
  • Rings - Primark
  • Necklace - James Warren

Enjoy my tips? Let me know, what you would take on a trip to the city?

Plan a late Summer Holiday and why?

... Where could you go?

As you all might already know by my previous post, I am "so" not ready to let go of Summer. This morning I woke up looking at my summer pics and left myself overcome with emotions I want back.  Just remembering how amazing it felt to feel the sun on my skin and the sea just beside me, makes me want to go back and do it all over again.

Fall is the perfect time to travel, its a much better crowd then if you go in the summer months. The airport is less crowded, which means less lines to queue for. The weather isn't extremely hot, but just right for someone looking for that warm hugging weather. It's an opportunity to visit places a little further than you would usually plan.

From places in Europe like Spain or Portugal or to Places further along like Australia. September is the perfect time to get out of your usual day to day routine and jet off and see more of the world. Here's some Ideas that I came up with:

Madeira Island - Portugal

I know this is one I mention a lot but I had to put this one on the list as it's a Place I love and pretty much see every year. It's Europe's number 1 island destination as nominated by World Travel Awards. The Island is known for its mild climate all year round so if your looking for a refuge away from the cold air this Island is the perfect place for you! You can find at least a handful of things that you would like to do here. From mountaineering - Levada walks to just chilling by the pool in your hotel, there is a wide amount of entertainment and you could even go and see the CR7 museum.

Santorini

Now, I've never been to Santorini, but the one thing I know is that I want to go! and what better time then to go when there's less crowds. The hotels will have more availability then the peak of the summer months but you will still have the hustle and bustle of the shops, restaurants and tourism around the streets.    That to me sounds like heaven!

St Malo - France

So, are you living in the UK and don't want to travel too far? Not really bothered about the weather? Then St. Malo is the perfect place to visit. Not many people are aware of this beautiful place in the North West of France, as most tend to visit places like Paris, St.Tropez, Nice and much more. But I'm going to point out this destination as this was a place that I went to almost every year when I was younger. Even though many don't know about this destination it is still a major touristic region, most go for the amazing ancient buildings. Tall granite walls surround the city, which was once a stronghold for privateers. All I can say is head over to St.Malo and take a look for yourselves. And maybe head over to Jersey C.I which is a 1 hour boat ride away and you'll see beautiful golden beaches and great restaurants, if your a foodie like me.

My Travel Guide

To ensure you are getting the best deals for Hotels during this season, be sure to check out Expedia, booking.com or Airbnb for the best deals. Not all destinations need to be scorching hot for you to enjoy them. Take a look at Travel blogs and pick out destinations that you found intriguing and different, take the plunge and discover unknown territory.

Don't forget to weather check a few days in advance and be prepared for anything when you pack. Always take a cardigan and some UV protection and your golden.

Where would you go this Autumn? Any tips that I may have missed out? let me know.
See you soon!

How to Master an End of Summer Look

Whether you're still going on vacation or just not ready to let go of that summer wardrobe just yet, choosing the perfect outfit can be tricky. You want to look chic and classy, yet trendy and relaxed. So unless you've traveled before or have your end of Summer look mastered then this post can be a source of inspiration, for those like me who are constantly debating on what to wear.

It's not yet cold, so why dress like it is already? The look I styled is versatile and perfect for the transition into the new season. Here is the ootd:

The main piece I wanted to incorporate in this look was this summer's must have...the Bardot. It's no shocker as I'm sure everyone has seen so many bloggers and influencers wearing this non stop. Bardot is more commonly known as the Off-the-shoulder trend, and we've seen this all over High Street shops like Topshop. It's a style that is comfy yet so glamorous, effortless and very Model off Duty vibes. This Bardot has a floral print, however isn't going to look odd styling it into the Autumn transition, as the color is navy and matches perfectly with jeans just like I have done here.

It wouldn't be a complete look without adding a pop of color, after all its not all Blacks, Whites and Greys just yet. I paired the Bardot and the Jeans with my Fiorelli shoulder bag and my Matalan heels. I thought as they match in color it would give the outfit a little "je ne sais quoi".

Voila! It's the perfect look for a day out with friends, I know I wore this outfit particularly for hanging out with my sister and enjoying a beautiful sunny day out in town.

What I'm Wearing:

Bardot - Pull and Bear
Jeans - Primark
(DIY'd the rips at the knee, if you want a blog post on how I did that let me know in the comments)
Heels - Matalan
Shoulder Bag - Fiorelli
Sunglasses - Matalan

Tell me, What was your favorite part of this outfit?

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor Review | Seek Insider

Today's post is, if you hadn't already noticed by the title, a Revlon Ultra HD Matte lipcolor review. I decided to purchase 3 and test them out to see if they give you the ultimate matte lip.

After having tested them out for a week, I found that the consistency of the product was very suave and moisturizing much to my surprise, it's applicator is soft and easily apply-able, with a somewhat vanilla like scent, which in my opinion is always a plus.

Unlike other brands I have tried in the past this doesn't leave that nasty dry and wrinkled lip and much to my amazement lasts all day (in my experience)! with little to nothing to re-apply.

But does it look Matte? as a growing trend the ultimate goal when looking for a matte lip color you want it to look completely matte and have no shine to it what so ever. Well, this Revlon collection is exactly what it says on the "tin" Matte! I Would completely recommend this to anyone who has wondered if it's truly worth it and with such great vibrant colors, I am eager to purchase the rest that are on offer, there is so much to choose from and all of them are simply beautiful.

Here they can look like there is a shine to them but that's only when applying :)

 See you soon, Insiders.

How to make some extra Cash

I'm sure a lot of us out there at times are looking for some extra money and it's really hard to come up with some ideas as to how to make some extra cash, so if you are a teenager, college student or just an adult looking to get a little extra, I've got your back, here are a few tips...

1. Online Surveys

Online surveys are a great way to get some extra money, and what better way then to do it from the comfort of your own home! All you have to do is create an account with them, and start taking surveys. You can get paid for cash or for vouchers in your favorite stores. How does it work? Well, after having signed up, you are asked about your name, email address and gender in order for the company to understand what kind of member you are. Once signed up, they will keep you updated via email with new surveys for you to participate in.

There motto is that our time is valuable, and that's why they pay us users to finish. After finishing each survey you are gifted points that we can later redeem as cash or gift cards. You can find out more on their website here (Don't worry this website is completely legitimate, I have used this before when I was a college student).

2. Sell Your Skill

Do you have a skill that you could sell? for example, are you good with graphics, art, coding, writing etc? You could advertise your services to others for a fee of your choice and do what you love in your spare time and gain some money out of it.

Here is a Link on the Do's and Don'ts of being a Freelance Artist. It can help you make a decision on weather it's something you'd like to venture into.

The only website that I am aware of that does this sort of thing is People per Hour, but I'm sure there are others... If you check out their page it has all the information you need in order to become a freelancer.

3. Closet Clear out

This one is basically what it says in the title. All you have to do, is take a look through your closet and see if there is anything you no longer need/use, I'm sure you have at least 3 items you can get rid of. It's not just limited to your closet you can look through your house and see what's no longer in use and sell them.

There are many websites you can do this on, Ebay; Amazon and Depop. Personally I use Depop as a form of buying and selling, you might ask what is Depop? It's a mobile, social shopping app, it's where you can set up your own Depop shop and browse the feed to find your favorite bloggers and other users. For more information, just click on the word Depop above to find out more.

4. Selling a Product

Create a tee and sell it in the Tee-spring community (Information is on there website). A cute fun way to start a business.

5. Blogging

If you are a blogger like me you can use Adsense - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AdSense

By sharing ads on your blog, you can earn some money.

Purse Carvela - Kurt Geiger: Debenhams or House of Fraser

I hope that you found at least one new way of making some extra cash.
See you soon!
