Porto Santo

So I guess your wondering where this little gem is? Porto Santo is an Island 43 Kilometers North of Madeira Island in the North Atlantic Ocean.  It is the Northernmost Island of the Archipelago of Madeira.

Porto Santo is very small compared to Madeira Island, but it has a beauty like no other. With amazing natural golden sandy beaches everyone who knows of Porto Santo loves to take a little break from Madeira or wherever they may be and Venture to Porto Santo for some lazy days by the beach.

Unfortunately I didn't go to Porto Santo this year. But I just thought I would share with you my adventures of Last year when I visited.

Just to let everyone know the coffee in Portugal is pretty much the best thing you can possibly taste! yummy!

So me and my family stayed in a cozy apartment that overlooked the beach, perfect for someone like me who doesn't like to take a distant walk to the beach.

Here are some of the Mills that you can find, perfect for taking Pictures!

What we are Wearing:

Kimono - Primark
Embroidered Top - Zara
Shorts - H&M
Sandals - New Look

~

Dress - H&M
Sandals - New Look
Chain Bag - New Look

(As this was last year I am not sure you can still find these Items)

So on our last day in Porto Santo we decided to go and visit my Uncle and his Garden that he is working on. You definitely had to be there to appreciate the art and technique that he put into his artwork. I know that his cat Dino appreciated it, isn't he a cutie?

After having seen an unexpected exhibition at my Uncles Place, we decided to go and see the festivities in the center of town. Traditional folklore music and dancing definitely lifted everyone's mood and we partied the night away.

So that concludes my Post about my adventures to Porto Santo last year. I hope you enjoyed it.

Favourite Make up and Skin Care for Autumn

As we sadly say goodbye to Summer and Hello to Fall, here is a post that might help you guys prep your skin for this time of year. So it's time to get your heavy coats and scarves ready for the windy weather that's coming around the corner.

Even though I love summer and it is my favorite time of year Autumn is a close second. I have actually started to miss wearing my leather boots and woolen coats.

But as you can tell by the title this isn't a Fall Fashion post. Here is my new skincare and Favorite Make up products.

A few steps on how to re-hydrate and refresh your skin for Autumn:

1. So this step is fairly straight forward and one that you should do on a daily basis. Remove your make up before bed. Sometimes it can be frustrating having to remove your make up, especially when your in one of those " I can't be bothered" kind of moods, trust me I know how you feel!
The product I find the best at removing make up as quick and easily as possible is the Garnier Skin Naturals - Micelar Water it has become a product that I purchase time and time again and would definitely recommend this to anyone that doesn't want to spend too much time trying to remove their make up ; An alternative however, for those who have problems such as Acne Clinique Acne Solutions - Clarifying lotion is definitely a go to product! Even though I haven't experienced such problems with my skin this has been approved my a few of my closest friends, which have said that they visibly see results and a clearer complexion after a few uses. This  product clears dead surface cells and reduces excess oil that could lead to breakouts, unclogs pores and soothes irritation and redness without drying.

2. The second thing I do everyday is cleanse my skin right after removing my make up. Cleansing is very important for keeping your skin clean and clear. I have a number of favorites but one that makes the list is the Clean & Clear Morning Energy - skin energising daily facial wash; It has a wonderful soft gel formula with bursting beads that wakes you up. With a citrus tangerine extract you can imaging the fragrant smell that this little product has! I don't just use this for the Mornings but also at night time, that's how much I love this product and If your someone who wants to keep a little summer vibes throughout autumn then this product is perfect it's like Summer in a bottle! So whilst massaging this onto a dry face I will pick up this facial brush from Primark just to make sure my face is absolutely clean.

3. For those days that you are having a complete pamper session, then use the Soap & Glory - Scrub your nose in it Special pore refining formula with grapefruit & D-clog micromud. You just apply a small dollop onto your fingertips to a damp t-zone, massage in circular motions, then leave on for 2 minutes. Rinse well and then...

4. Step 4, is were I would usually apply a moisturizer.

5.After moisturizing your face, you should never neglect your lips. I use the Maybelline - Babylips Intense Care perfect for putting back moisture into those lips!

Next up is my Favorite Beauty Finds:

1. Bourjois Paris - Bronzing powder & Highlighter - perfect for an effortless everyday look without the effort.

2. Loreal Paris - True match foundation - with SPF 17 it's great for maintaining a natural complexion, improving the appearance of your skin.

3. An alternative from the Loreal Paris true match foundation there is the Rimmel London BB Cream with its 9-in-one Skin perfecting formula it primes, smoothes, conceals and helps minimise the appearance of pores whilst providing 24 hour moisture.

4. Rimmel London - Wake me up - Concealer

5.  Rimmel London - Stay Matte - Long lasting pressed powder. Helps to neutralize shine for up to 5 hours.

6. Max Factor - Excess shimmer - in the shade 20 Copper. A great shimmer for your eyes that makes you look wide awake.

Lastly I decided to add one of my favorite perfumes the Nude by Rihanna - eau de parfum spray a subtle scent that lasts all day.

Stay tuned for an Autumn Fashion Lookbook post.

A Day in Funchal

So another place I went to on my Travels to Madeira Island was the main city Funchal. It's a place that I have been many times before, but now that I live so far away I decided to take a little stroll down town.

 (Forte São Tiago)

So where about's am I in Funchal? I went to see Zona Velha which translated into English would be Old Town. It's a beautiful rustic area in Funchal which now is becoming more and more popular among st tourists and even locals.

Why is this area getting this popular? well, just look at it!

What I'm Wearing: Top Zara - Shorts Zara - Sunglasses Accessorize - Ring Stradivarius - Bracelets Primark

A new project plan for the area is what made it so unique with the idea of renewing the look of Zona Velha to something with a little je ne sais quoi.

The Ideia was to paint every door of each house with unique paintings, which definitely livened up this area and if you are a lover of art and color then Zona Velha is the place to visit.

Towards the end of the day, me and my Friends decided to go and check out the Market that was close by. Just have a look at the tasty yet healthy treats there is to offer.

 (Mercado dos Lavradores)

...and to conclude "A day in Funchal" here is a picture I took from Pico dos Barcelos of Funchal, isn't that a great view?

For more posts just like this one stay tuned, much more is yet to come.
